13-year-old Indicted With Armed Robbery, Felony Drug Possession In Chicago’s Englewood Neighborhood

A 13-year-old male has been arrested and charged with armed robbery and other charges following an incident with a peer in Chicago.

According to a recent statement from the Chicago Police Department, the juvenile was detained for allegedly robbing another 13-year-old at gunpoint.

The incident appears to have taken place on May 9, 2025, in the city’s Englewood district.

The children were charged with one felony count of armed robbery and one felony offense of possession of a controlled drug.

He also faces a misdemeanor charge of criminal trespass to a car, according to a news release from the Chicago Police Department. Police discovered and captured the suspect in the 5500 block of S. Bishop St., following the reported incident in the 300 block of W. 75th St.

The Chicago Police Department has not disclosed any additional information regarding the case, the circumstances of the robbery, or the nature of the possession allegation at this time.
