Two Men Arrested in Centertown After Authorities Seize 41 Grams of Meth

A narcotics search warrant executed Friday morning led to the arrest of two men and the discovery of 41 grams of methamphetamine, the Cole County Sheriff’s Department confirmed.

Deputies, working with the Mustang Drug Task Force, raided a residence in the 1300 block of Marion Street in Centertown. Along with the meth, they seized packaging materials and other drug paraphernalia, according to a statement from Sheriff John Wheeler.

Michael Dunbar, 54, was charged with felony delivery of a controlled substance and is being held on a $10,000 bond.
Justin Runkle, 39, faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance and is currently jailed without bond.

Authorities have not released further details about the investigation or whether more arrests are expected.
