Subway Shover Apprehended After Pushing 2 Men Onto Tracks In Lower Manhattan

A suspect was apprehended on Monday night after shoving two men over the rails at a Lower Manhattan subway station, according to the New York Police Department.

Terrell Coley is accused of knocking two men, 71 and 30, onto the tracks of the Whitehall Street-South Ferry subway station in the Financial District around 10:30 p.m.

The defendant allegedly attacked the younger victim and shoved the elder man, causing both to collapse on the tracks. EMS responded and took the men to nearby hospitals, where they were listed in stable condition.

Coley, 35, was detained and charged with assault and reckless endangerment, police said.

Authorities have not yet determined the motivation for the attack.
