An unidentified man allegedly made sexual remarks and demanded money from a 27-year-old male rider on a northbound 1 train at 4:15 a.m., according to police. As the train approached Christopher Street in the West Village, the defendant allegedly pushed the victim to perform an indecent act.

The victim was evacuated by emergency medical personnel to Northwell Greenwich Village Hospital, where he was reported as stable.
Police described the individual as a man with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a dark blue shirt, dark blue trousers, and white and blue sneakers.
As of Monday morning, there were no arrests.
The NYPD urges anyone with knowledge about the event to contact law police. The investigation remains incomplete.
This event adds to an increasing list of recorded crimes on the subway system in New York City in recent months, prompting increased patrols and security measures at important stations throughout the city.
