What Happened?
The shooting took place around 4 a.m. on Sunday, April 13, outside the Star Bar in the 1700 block of Trawick Road. According to police, gunfire struck a van belonging to rap artist OMB Peezy and several other vehicles. No injuries were reported.

OMB Peezy had performed at the venue the night before, but police have not confirmed whether he was the intended target.

Bar’s Troubled History
Star Bar has a documented history of violent incidents, arrests, and multiple violations—including controlled substance offenses, assaults, disturbances, and shootings. Due to these repeated issues, the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement conducted an investigation, leading the NC ABC Commission to suspend the bar’s ABC permits.
