Two Houston men were arrested Tuesday afternoon after a theft and vehicle pursuit that began at the Ulta Beauty store in League City.
On April 29, 2025, around 3:00 p.m., League City Police were notified of a theft in process at Ulta Beauty, 3120 S Gulf Freeway, Suite A. Officers were told that the suspects had escaped in a silver Chevrolet Cobalt.
Officer Jones noticed the car around 3:01 p.m. and attempted a traffic stop. The motorist, 30-year-old Orlando Ferrer Garcia, failed to stop, sparking a police chase that included South I-45, the NASA Bypass, SH 3, and FM 518.
The pursuit ended around 3:15 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Friendswood Drive, when the car collided with a curb and came to a halt in a grassy area. Both Garcia and his passenger, 20-year-old Fernando Grabey Suarez, were arrested without incident.
Garcia has been charged with evading arrest/detention in a motor vehicle (bond set at $250,000) and theft of property worth $2,500 to $30,000 (bond set at $60,000). Suarez has been charged with Theft of Property ranging from $2,500 to $30,000 (bail set at $10,000) and Tampering with evidence.
