Five days later, on May 12, 17-year-old LeCorion Davis was arrested for Thompson’s murder and given a $1 million bond. Michael Kelly Jr. was then issued an arrest warrant on murder charges.

The Jackson Police Department stated Friday that Kelly, along with Ty’Misha Trotter, 21, had been detained.

Kelly was captured by Capitol Police at 8 p.m. on Thursday and taken into custody shortly thereafter by JPD. He was charged with murder and denied a bond.

Trotter was detained on Thursday as well. She was charged with accessory before the fact and issued a $30,000 bond.

The stolen vehicle, a Nissan Versa, was also recovered.
