Capital Boulevard has reopened after a deadly wrong-way crash Tuesday night in Wake Forest.
A town spokesperson confirmed that three vehicles were involved. One woman died, and three others were seriously injured and taken to the hospital.
The crash occurred around 11 p.m. near Star Road when a driver traveling the wrong way collided with two other cars.
Authorities closed all northbound and southbound lanes of Capital Boulevard for the investigation.
The road reopened by 4 a.m.
Charges against the wrong-way driver are pending as the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
