A woman was arrested after authorities discovered over 54 grams of methamphetamine and multiple firearms inside a Camdenton antique store that also served as her residence.
The Camden County Sheriff’s Office reported that Jennifer L. Schanuel, 54, was taken into custody on Wednesday, April 30, as part of a long-running drug trafficking investigation.
Deputies executed a search warrant at The Peanut Gallery, located at 8297 N. Highway 5. The business, which doubled as Schanuel’s home, was the site of the drug bust. During the search, officers found more than 54 grams of meth, drug paraphernalia, and four firearms.
Schanuel was booked into the Camden County Detention Facility and faces charges of second-degree drug trafficking and four counts of unlawful use of a weapon. She is currently being held without bond.
The Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the arrest followed months of collaborative investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
If convicted, Schanuel could spend the rest of her life in prison. A court date has not yet been set.
