A Cincinnati man will serve a 12-month sentence after pleading guilty to charges in connection with the death of an infant.
According to Hamilton County court records, Kymani Walker pleaded guilty to child endangerment and reckless homicide.
In February 2024, Cincinnati police were dispatched to an apartment on West North Bend Road after receiving a report that a youngster was unconscious and not breathing.
When first responders arrived, police reported that 1-year-old Kymari Walker had died.
Court documents indicate that investigators believe Kymani Walker had fentanyl and xylazine in his flat, which exposed the 1-year-old and led to his death.
Kymani Walker will receive credit for serving 59 days.
