Man Charged with Robbery, Assault After Woman Shot Near Glenwood Avenue

A man is facing several charges after a woman was shot Sunday night at a Raleigh apartment complex.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, the shooting occurred around 8 p.m. at the Trails of North Hills Apartments on North Hills Drive, near Glenwood Avenue.

Officers responded to the scene and found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Police arrested 39-year-old Thomas Greene in connection with the incident. He is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, attempted breaking and entering, larceny of a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

The investigation remains ongoing.
