Police have detained four 13-year-olds and a 15-year-old after accusing them of committing several violent robberies in the Katy area.
Ed Gonzalez, the Harris County Sheriff, posted about the crime spree on Thursday morning. He claimed the group of five youths was involved in five aggravated robberies between May 6 and 7. Gonzalez claimed they looted four convenience stores and a restaurant.
Investigators claim the five adolescents used weapons in each robbery, beat the victims, and stole money.
They have all been charged with aggravated robbery and participation in organized crime. According to Gonzalez, the accused face a total of 27 accusations. They were all booked at the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.
