A body was found Friday night near a popular stretch of the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail in Colorado Springs, according to local police.

Authorities said the body was located just before 9 p.m. in the area near I-25 and Cimarron Street, close to America the Beautiful Park—an area frequented by walkers, cyclists, and commuters. The trail is a well-used route that runs through the heart of the city and connects multiple recreational and transit corridors.
