According to police, an undercover agent went to the business on March 11 and gave Gabot $20 in exchange for four loose pieces of suspected rock cocaine, which Gabot recovered from a black bag in the lower section of his barbershop.

According to an arrest report, the substances tested positive for cocaine at the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office lab.

According to police, on April 23, an undercover agent returned to Gabot’s company and paid him $20 in exchange for two loose bits of suspected rock cocaine.

Authorities reported that the drugs tested positive for cocaine yet again.

Police reported that they executed a search warrant at Gabot’s firm on Wednesday, but he was not present.

During the search, authorities said they discovered pictures of Gabot, his family, and several barber certificates in his name at his barber station, as well as multiple digital scales, 21.1 grams of suspected powder cocaine, 5 grams of suspected rock cocaine, and 44.2 grams of suspected marijuana.

According to police, employees at the time acknowledged that Gabot was the only person to use his barbershop.

An unloaded Ruger 9 mm rifle was discovered in a separate closed barbershop, according to officials.

Gabot was apprehended later that day on accusations of possession of rock cocaine with intent to sell, possession of rock cocaine with the intent to traffic, and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.

As of Thursday morning, he was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where his bond was reported as “to be set.”
