Former Nebraska City Doctor Arrested On New Charges

A former Nebraska City neurosurgeon was arrested Tuesday on new charges.

Travis Tierney, 55, was detained on a warrant Tuesday afternoon at Eppley Airfield in Omaha.

He was brought into Sarpy County Jail for visual portrayal of sexually explicit content, a crime.

Tierney did not respond when First Alert 6 contacted him for comment.

He was out on bond in Douglas County, awaiting trial on first-degree sexual assault allegations against a juvenile. Court filings state that he left town without permission.

On Wednesday, a judge will determine whether to revoke his bond in the Douglas County District Court case.

Tierney is expected to forfeit his $75,000 bond.
