Man Stabbed Friend Seven Times During Dispute Over Which Tv Show They’d Watch: Prosecutors Say

Prosecutors have accused a man of attempted murder, saying he repeatedly stabbed a friend over a disagreement over which TV show to watch.

On April 23, at about 3:30 a.m., Chicago police arrived at an apartment in the 7700 block of South Yates after a witness called 911 to report the stabbing.

The cops discovered a 42-year-old guy in the apartment who had been stabbed seven times, including three times in the back.

According to officials, the witness and victim said that Sayyid Thomas, 33, changed the channel on the television, resulting in a dispute between Thomas and the victim.

The situation quickly became out of control, and Thomas began stabbing the victim repeatedly in the belly, leg, chest, shoulder, and buttocks.

According to his arrest report, officers from the Chicago Police Department recently observed Thomas and arrested him while on patrol.

Judge Ankur Srivastava detained him as a safety risk, claiming that the claims were “so violent, brazen, and senseless” that Thomas should not be allowed to stand trial at home.
