61-year-old man charged in connection with stabbing, 2024 crime in Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 61-year-old man faces multiple charges after police said he stabbed a man in Raleigh.

Authorities identified the suspect as Willie Lee Garrett, who was arrested in connection with a stabbing Sunday afternoon on Magnolia Court’s 6700 block. The victim was hospitalized with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Police also charged Garrett in relation to a previous incident from 2024.

He faces charges including assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, and misdemeanor larceny from July 2024.
