The arrests stem from an incident early Wednesday morning when officers responded to gunfire reports in the 200 block of North Roberson Street. Investigators said someone fired at two men before fleeing the scene.

No one was hurt.

Perry faces several charges, including attempted first-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a felon, assault by pointing a gun, and discharging a firearm within city limits. He’s being held at the Orange County Detention Center without bond.

Wade is charged with felony conspiracy and accessory after the fact. Her bond is set at $250,000 secured.

Both are expected to make their first court appearance on Friday.

Anyone with details about the incident is urged to call 911 or contact the Chapel Hill Police Department at (919) 968-2760 during business hours. To remain anonymous, call Chapel Hill-Carrboro-UNC Crimestoppers at 919-942-7515 or visit chapelhillcrimestoppers.com. Tips leading to an arrest may qualify for a reward of up to $2,000.
