Two men have been detained in connection with the armed robbery of two Loomis Armored Transport guards on Tuesday, May 6th, at the Chase Bank at 5150 Fairmont Parkway in Pasadena.
According to the Pasadena Police Department, the robbery occurred at the bank’s ATM. Suspects carrying handguns robbed the guards and took numerous canisters from the transport van. The canisters were eventually discovered to be devoid of any money.
The culprits fled the area before officers arrived. However, a further search of the region turned up the perpetrators’ abandoned getaway vehicle, which had been reported stolen from Dallas, Texas.
After a thorough investigation, Pasadena Police Detectives discovered and caught two robbers. Investigators also executed a search warrant at a residence. During the investigation, detectives discovered a second car used in the crime, which had previously been reported stolen, as well as firearms and armored vests.
Detectives have detained and charged two men in connection with the event:
- Pedro Sifuentes , 26 years old, charged with Tampering with Evidence and Aggravated Robbery. Sifuentes was arrested by the Pasadena Police Department and is currently in custody at the Harris County jail.
- Irvin Ramos , 32 years old, charged with Aggravated Robbery. Ramos was arrested with the assistance of the Sugar Land Police Department SWAT team and is currently being held at the Fort Bend County jail on additional drug-related charges. He is awaiting transport to Harris County for the warrant filed by Pasadena Police Detectives.
