A motorcycle crash Monday morning at the intersection of West Market and Benner streets killed an 18-year-old passenger and badly injured the driver, according to Tiffin Police Chief David Pauly.
The two-person motorcycle, heading east on Market Street, collided with a vehicle traveling north on Benner Street, according to police.
The passenger died on the scene. The motorcycle driver was airlifted to a Toledo-area hospital with severe injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle was not visibly wounded and received treatment at the scene from the Tiffin Fire/Rescue Division.
Tiffin police continue to investigate the crash, with assistance from the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The names of those involved will be withheld until their relatives are notified.
Chief Pauly stated that additional information would be shared as it became available.
