A 15-year-old male juvenile has been taken into custody over a series of serious charges stemming from an armed vehicular hijacking in Chicago, according to official reports from the Chicago Police Department. The teenager faces one felony charge of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm, one count of receiving, possessing, or selling a stolen vehicle, and one count of armed robbery with a firearm.
The arrest occurred on Saturday near the 6600 block of S. Stewart Avenue.
At approximately 12:04 p.m. The incident in question occurred the day before, on May 2, when the juvenile was accused of participating in the carjacking of a 36-year-old male at gunpoint in the 600 block of N. Trumbull Ave.
Following the arrest, officials moved quickly to charge the culprit. The juvenile’s identity has not been revealed due to his age. The Chicago Police Department has not disclosed any additional information on the suspected carjacking or the victim of the crime.
