ENGLEWOOD — On Monday, June 8 Northmont City Schools accepted the resignation of Lance Schneider according to an email statement issued Tuesday morning by Superintendent Dr. Sarah Zatik.
Schneider was head coach of the high school football team for 16 years and also served as a physical education teacher.
According to the email, “The resignation applies to all employment positions held with the Northmont City School District.”
Schneider was placed on administrative leave in late March when the Northmont School District initiated an investigation into an internal complaint. The complaint concerned alleged unprofessional comments made by Mr. Schneider. Following receipt of a physician’s note, Schneider was placed on medical leave at his request while the district’s thorough investigation into the complaint continued.
“Schneider’s resignation effectively ends the personnel investigation, and the district is satisfied to have reached a resolution that protects the integrity of the district and our students,” Zatik stated in the email.
