Aullwood announces June activities

BUTLER TWP. — June ushers in the first day of summer on the 21st. Enjoy a draft horse pulled wagon ride or help count Aullwood’s breeding birds. Parents or grandparents can encourage children to develop a deeper sense of wonder for nature by enrolling them in Summer Earth Adventures classes that begin in June.

General admission is $5/adult and $3/child unless otherwise noted with an asterisk (*). Members of Friends of Aullwood and National Audubon Society are admitted free.

Avian Art Contest Exhibit – June 1 through June 14

The Avian Art Contest Exhibit focuses on ways children can engage in conservation actions to protect common birds, endangered birds and neo-tropical songbird migrants. The following schools are participating: Fairview PreK–8 School, Tri-County North Elementary School and Brantwood Elementary School. The Aullwood Avian Art Contest is sponsored by the Marquardt family in memory of Enid Marquardt. (Center)
