LOCAL — It’s a banner year for the Northmont area. The cities of Clayton and Union are celebrating bicentennial anniversaries in 2016, and Englewood is marking its 175th year. Together, the communities are planning a joint celebration on July 23 from 11 a.m. To 3 p.m. at Meadowbrook at Clayton, 6001 Salem Ave., Clayton.
The Tri-City Anniversary will feature an exhibit by the Randolph Township Historical Society and displays by local businesses. The event will also include a golf scramble, corn hole tournament, putting contest, live band, kids’ games, food and drink, and more.
The two-person team golf scramble will begin at 12:30 p.m. and will feature prizes for best and worst scores. Cost is $50 per team for those registering through July 9, 2016. After July 9, cost is $55 per team. Fees include 9 holes of golf with cart and prizes.
