ENGLEWOOD — The Ohio Department of Transportation has scheduled a temporary closure of State Route 48 (Main Street) in Englewood, under the I-70 overpass, beginning at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 16 and as needed Sunday, April 17 to facilitate the removal of a reinforced concrete barrier wall.
This closure is necessary to insure safety to the traveling public. The four I-70 on/off ramps will remain open. The removal is expected to take about 12 hours but up to 24 hours is planned if necessary.
To travel south on State Route 48:
• Traffic on I-70 West will be taken to Hoke Road, over the bridge and to I-70 East to the State Route 48 exit to be able to access State Route 48 southbound.
• I-70 East traffic will exit and proceed to southbound 48 as normal.
To travel north on State Route 48:
• Traffic headed north on Main Street will be directed to take I-70 East to Airport Access, from Airport Access to State Route 40, west on 40 to State Route 48.
• I-70 West traffic will exit and proceed to northbound State Route 48 as normal.
