The following information has been provided by Northmont area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Thursday, July 9

Clay Township

Report 15-1647-07: Police were dispatched to the Village of Phillipsburg on the report of a black Ford Ranger that was allegedly delivering drugs to several addresses in the village. During a traffic stop on the Ranger police observed track marks on the driver’s arms indicating heroin use. During a pat down search police found gel capsules containing heroin in one of the driver’s pants pockets. Nicholas T. Newman, 26, of Laura, was charged with possession of heroin. Newman was transported to the county jail by a Phillipsburg officer.

Friday, July 10

Clay Township

Report 15-1652-07: Breeona Tranay Williams, 24, of Dayton 45417, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court. She was transported to the county jail. Williams was a passenger in a disabled vehicle police located at the intersection of Diamond Mill and Phillipsburg-Union roads.

Sunday, July 12

Clay Township

Report 15-1668-07: Chrystal G. Jenkins, 35, of Brookville, was charged with robbery. She was transported to the county jail.

Monday, July 13

City of Englewood

Report 15-037551: A resident of Ledford Lane reported that his credit card had been used without his consent at Walgreens at 5901 N. Springboro Pike, Dayton. The amount of the transaction was for more than $207.

Report 15-037575: A 17-year-old female was charged with theft at Wal-Mart. Charges were forwarded to juvenile court.

Tuesday, July 14

City of Clayton

Report 15-1334: Felony theft was reported in the 6500 block of Deville Dr. The female resident noticed that her wedding ring had been taken from the residence. Two phone company employees had been inside the residence on two separate days during the time period the ring came up missing.

City of Englewood

Report 15-037629: Police responded to the 100 block of Tate Ave. on the report of a subject refusing to leave a residence. Courtland B. Monaghan, 24, of Englewood, was charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the county jail.

Wednesday, July 15

City of Englewood

Report 15-037887: Unknown subjects damaged three door locks/handles on a business in the 700 block of W. National Rd.

Report 15-037931: Unknown subjects damaged three door locks at a second business located in the 700 block of W. National Rd.

Report 15-037946: Cheryl A. Clark, 31, of Englewood, was charged with theft at Wal-Mart. She was transported to the county jail.

Clay Township

Report 15-1685-07: Larry G. Jenkins, 26, of Brookville, was arrested for drug possession and drug paraphernalia during the execution of a search warrant at a residence in the 10000 block of Dayton-Greenville Pike.

Thursday, July 16

City of Clayton

Report 15-1345: Unknown subjects threw objects at a sport utility vehicle parked in the 6700 block of Galaxie Dr. damaging the back door and glass and both rear doors. A broken pickle jar was found in the roadway and pickle was found on the front windshield.

Saturday, July 18

City of Clayton

Report 15-1359: The theft of a pair of sunglasses by a female subject driving a red Hyundai Elantra bearing Indiana plates was reported at United Dairy Farmers.

City of Englewood

Report 15-038538: Donna J. Accoo, 42, of Dayton 45415, was charged with theft at Meijer. She was transported to the county jail.

Report 15-038610: An unknown white male attempted to steal a Snapper lawnmower at Wal-Mart. The male fled the scene in a white Chrysler. Store employees were able to recover the lawnmower.

Clay Township

Report 15-1696-07: Josiah A. Stevens, 30, of Greenville, was arrested by the Preble County Sheriff’s Office on a Clay Township warrant. Stevens was released to a Clay Township officer and transported to the county jail.

Report 15-1701-07: Unknown subjects stole a circular, cast iron gazing ball stand from in front of the front porch of a residence in the 11100 block of Baltimore-Phillipsburg Rd.

Sunday, July 19

City of Clayton

Report 15-1362: A Clayton officer responded to Interstate 70 and State Route 235 in Huber Heights to assist the Ohio State Patrol with a warrant arrest. Upon arrival two troopers advised that they had conducted a traffic stop and discovered both of the occupants of the vehicle had warrants. Michael L. Fox, 42, of Butler Township, was arrested on a Clayton warrant for failure to appear in court on a traffic offense. Fox was transported to the county jail.
