ENGLEWOOD — Were they getting ready for a Fourth of July Parade? Posing in their new uniforms? Was it a school band? A fireman’s band? A community band? And when?
The style of the uniforms, ties and hats suggest this photo was taken around the 1880s or early 1900s. Does anyone have any more knowledge of a band in Little York or recognize the building?
The original photograph can be viewed at the Randolph Township Historical Society’s History Center, 114 Valleyview Dr., Englewood. The Society will meet at 7 p.m. on July 12 at the Center and is open to the public on the first and third Sundays of each month through October.
