CLAYTON — This year’s last Sweep Clayton Clean event will be Saturday, September 24 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Fire Station 83 on Woolery Lane. This is for Clayton residents and they may dispose junk, storage, furniture, wood, tree limbs and yard debris. No liquids, paint, tires or hazardous items will be accepted.
The city is also partnering with the Northmont Community Market, Pink Ribbon Girls and the Kleptz YMCA for the ‘Pink Out the Market’ event. There is going to be a 5K Walk/Run (www.itsyourrace.com for more details), with a dedication of the new National Trail multipurpose path at 11 a.m. with local dignitaries attending. Community Market will be open from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. and will be celebrating the year’s success with an Oktoberfest theme complete with a beer garden, music and local vendors including Palette of Threads, Bloom, Bon Voyage and more. The YMCA will also be holding an open house from 1 until 5 p.m. so families can use the path and walk down to the YMCA where there will be activities for the kids.
