CLAYTON — Stasha’s Stash: Furniture and More held a ribbon cutting ceremony July 12 at its store located at 7602 N. Main St. at the corner of Main and Dog Leg Road.

The business sells new and gently used furniture. Hours of operation are 2 – 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Stasha’s Stash held its soft opening on June 1 and a Grand Opening on July 10.

Stasha McConnell is following in her father’s footsteps of being in the furniture business. She has been buying and selling furniture for 10 years. Her father was an interior decorator, entrepreneur, and store owner who instilled within Stasha a dream to follow in his footsteps by opening her own store. This is her first foray into actually operating a standalone building and has demonstrated a great knack of having the entrepreneur spirit.

“Business has been great and we’ve really been welcomed in by the community. The location has been great and I couldn’t be happier with how well everything has been going,” Stasha said.

The Stasha’s Stash mission is to provide clean and gently used furniture that is affordable for anyone to purchase. Stasha strives to build an atmosphere where customers always feel at home and to create meaningful relationships with her clients. As a small business with local sensibilities, Stasha’s Stash aims to become an integral part of the local community by fostering local commerce.

“The City welcomes Stasha and her staff and we believe this is another great example of first time entrepreneurs successfully contributing to the city’s economy and community development by being a positive presence at the southern entrance of our city,” said Jack Kuntz, director of development for the City of Clayton. “We’re excited to continue to follow Stasha’s Stash and look forward to her thriving in our city.”
