CLAYTON — Salem Church of God will host its 7th annual Summer Bash Car & Truck Show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 11.
The event, which is staged amid the trees and pond on the west end of the church property, attracted more than 140 entrants in 2014.
Vehicle registration begins at 9 a.m., and there is no entry fee this year, rather a free-will donation. There will be awards to the top 40 cars, as voted by participants and the public. Also, the first 100 entries will receive dash plaques. There is no admission fee for spectators.
Special awards will include: Best Paint, Best Engine, Best Interior, Pastor’s Choice, Club Participation, Best of Show, Best Ford Product, Best GM Product, Best Chrysler Product and Best Foreign Product.
Proceeds will benefit a number of Salem initiatives, including Salem Men’s Ministry and Softball Outreach Team, Women of the Word, Children of Promise, Brookville Elementary Backpack Program, One Heart, Miami Valley Hospital Women’s Center, Northmont Community Table and mission efforts around the world.
Other attractions will include inflatables for children as well as baked goods and food for sale.
