Police reports from Northmont area police departments

The following information has been provided by Northmont area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Monday, Nov. 30

City of Union

Report 15-065897: Tiawonna N. Gooden, 31, of Dayton 45402, was charged with driving under suspension and issued a Rule 4 summons for a warrant for failure to appear in court. She was released with a new court date for the warrant and permitted to go to work.

Friday, Dec. 4

City of Union

Report 15-066585: A resident was notified by Fifth Third Bank that fraudulent charges had taken place on his account and requested that he file a police report. The bank suspended his debit card account. The bank advised that his card number had been used to make several withdrawals from his account and his account information had possibly been obtained from a skimming unit at a gas station in Vandalia.

Report 15-066721: Police responded to the 100 block of N. Main Street on the report of a fight in progress. Brian K. Anderson, 45, of Phillipsburg, was charged with assault, theft, criminal damaging and disorderly conduct – fighting. He was issued a court summons. Danielle N. Farmer, 30, of Union, was charged with disorderly conduct – fighting. She was issued a court summons. Patrick A. Oaks, 30, of Union, was charged with disorderly conduct – fighting and assault. He was issued a court summons.

Report 15-066716: Jennifer L. Fields, 31, of Union, was charged with barking or howling dogs. She was issued a court summons.

Sunday, Dec. 6

City of Union

Report 15-066966: Menacing was reported in the 100 block of Woodard Dr. The victim signed a refusal to prosecute form.

Thursday, Dec. 10

City of Union

Report 15-067865: A resident reported receiving a notification from Verizon Wireless that a phone account had been opened in his name. The resident did not authorize the account and filed a dispute with Verizon, which requested a police report.

Clay Township

Report 15-3027-12: Police were dispatched on the report of a suspicious white vehicle in the area Diamond Mill and Range Line roads and initiated a traffic stop on Blue Teal Drive. The driver, Colin J. Bradburn, 40, of Greenville, was charged with possessing drug abuse instruments (hypodermic needle). He was issued a court summons and released. A passenger, Sarah D. Bradburn, 37, of Greenville, was charged with possessing drug abuse instruments (hypodermic needles), possession of drugs, and was arrested on a warrant issued by Englewood Police. She was released to an Englewood officer and transported to the county jail.

Friday, Dec. 11

City of Union

Report 15-068082: Jenna C. Riley, 18, of Urbana, was charged with solicitation permit required. She was issued a court summons.

Clay Township

Report 15-3042-12: Francis J. Napier, 39, of West Alexandria, was charged with speeding and possession of marijuana. He was issued a court summons and released.

Monday, Dec. 14

City of Clayton

Report 15-2354: Burglary was reported in the 8500 block of N. Main Street. The resident advised that when she returned home she discovered that several of her bedroom dresser drawers had been gone through. In another bedroom the resident found that several Christmas presents had been moved from a table and onto the floor. In a third bedroom the resident discovered all of the dresser drawers had been opened. A large amount of jewelry, coins and a .22 caliber Ruger handgun with a silver barrel were stolen.

City of Englewood

Report 15-068689: A 15-year-old male was charged with disorderly conduct – offensive behavior after urinating on a driveway in plain sight of others. He was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Justice Center.

City of Union

Report 15-068729: A resident reported that her debit card information had been stolen and someone used it to make three transactions totaling more than $1,444. The transactions occurred online at a Wal-Mart in Arkansas.

Clay Township

Report 15-3070-12: Police responded to Shoreline Drive on an overdose. Medics arrived and transported the victim to the hospital.

Report 15-3062-12: Chad C. Turner, 28, of Lewisburg, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated. He was issued a court summons and released to his father.

Tuesday, Dec. 15

City of Englewood

Report 15-068782: Jonathan L. Lowery, 19, of Englewood, was charged with driving under suspension, signals before changing course and lighted lights required. He was transported to the county jail.

Report 15-068843: The rear driver’s side window of a vehicle parked in the YMCA lot was smashed and a purse removed from the rear floorboard.

Report 15-068946: A 15-year-old male was charged with domestic violence and transported to the juvenile detention center.

Wednesday, Dec. 16

City of Englewood

Report 15-068995: Orlando R. Crawford, 34, of Cincinnati, was charged with driving under the influence and driving under the influence over the legal limit. He registered at .131 percent on a breath intoxilyzer test. He was transported to the county jail.

Report 15-069184: Dale H. Howard, 60, of Englewood (Clayton Zip Code 45315), was charged with domestic violence, issued a court summons and released to a friend.

Report 15-069195: Michael S. McCorkle, 35, of Dayton 45406, was charged with theft at Meijer. He was transported to the county jail.

Thursday, Dec. 17

City of Clayton

Report 15-2364: A 2011 Buick Enclave was stolen from the driveway of a residence in the 3700 block of Greenbay Drive. The vehicle was unlocked at the time it was stolen.

City of Englewood

Report 15-069276: Unknown subjects damaged a Christmas light display in a front yard in the 4100 block of Kinsey Road. The display consisted of an Eskimo in a sleigh being pulled by two Huskies. The display was knocked over and one of the Huskies stolen.

City of Union

Report 15-069274: A portable cement mixer was reported stolen from a driveway on Carol Court.

Report 15-069292: Burglary was reported in the 100 block of Lynnfield Farm Circle. A witness advised that two subjects came from the rear of the residence and were now loading a TV into a pickup truck parked in the driveway. Police located the vehicle in the 200 block of N. Main Street and made a traffic stop. Scott D. Lunce, 36, of Dayton 45406, was charged with burglary, taken into custody and transported to the county jail.

Report 15-069227: Police pulled a vehicle over on Union Air Park Boulevard for the driver being listed under suspension. Aareonna Au’Layshia Goins, 21, of Dayton 45404, was charged with driving under suspension and was arrested on a warrant out of Moraine. She was taken into custody and transported to the county jail. A passenger, Darryl E. Hoskins, 22, of Dayton 45417, was arrested on a warrant out of Riverside. He was transported to the county jail.

Clay Township

Report 15-3089-12: An officer spotted an east bound black pickup truck on National Road weaving from one lane to another with the driver’s side taillight hanging by its wiring. The officer attempted to pull the vehicle over but it made an abrupt turn onto Wellbaum Road, accelerated rapidly and almost went off the left side of the road. The officer terminated the pursuit and the pickup turned west on Pleasant Plain Road. The officer followed from an extreme distance to see if he could notify Brookville Police about the truck’s direction of travel. The truck continued west and ran a stop sign at Arlington Road then turned right onto Dodson Road and then left onto Wengerlawn Road. The officer tracked the truck from National Road which parallels Wengerlawn but lost sight of the truck’s headlights. Brookville Police and a Preble County Sheriff were notified of the truck’s last known direction of travel. The vehicle later crashed and rolled over in Preble County. A witness saw the female driver get out of the truck and walk away. Tipp City Police later located the driver at her residence and reported that she appeared heavily intoxicated.

Friday, Dec. 18

City of Englewood

Report 15-069146: A car was towed from the 800 block of Albert Street for violating the 48 hour parking ordinance.

Report 15-069438: Unknown subjects scratched a vehicle on the hood, driver’s side, passenger’s side, and rear tailgate while it was parked to the rear of Hair Masters.

City of Union

Report 15-069481: Police pulled a vehicle over on Main Street after observing the driver having trouble staying within one lane. After approaching the vehicle a person in the passenger seat had a hood pulled over his head and was using his hand to shield his face from view. He was found to be a wanted subject. Shai-Ke Smiley Carson, 19, of Dayton 45416, was arrested on a warrant out of Moraine for contempt. He was taken into custody and released to a Moraine Police officer.

Saturday, Dec. 19

City of Englewood

Report 15-069534: Kenneth D. Young, 50, of West Carrollton, was charged with driving under the influence, failure to reinstate, red light violation and consumption in a motor vehicle. Young had a prior conviction for operating a vehicle intoxicated in 2013. He was transported to the county jail.

Report 15-069604: Unknown subjects removed the wheels and tires from a 1978 Corvette on Veracruz Court and left the vehicle propped up by patio bricks. The original white leather seats and T-Tops were also stolen.

Report 15-069686: Unknown subjects punched a hole in the front passenger side window on a vehicle parked at Thunderbowl. An attempt to pull the window outward was apparent. The exterior door panel had also been wedged apart in a possible attempt to access the lock mechanism.
