The following information has been provided by Northmont area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Saturday, Aug. 29

Clay Township

Report 15-2118-08: Police responded to Shoreline Drive on the report of a 3-year-old child that had been standing outside a mobile home for approximately one hour wearing only a pair of underwear.

Monday, Aug. 31

Clay Township

Report 15-2137-08: Police investigated a burglary in the 9900 block of National Road. A 32-inch Vizio flat screen TV and a .38 caliber Smith & Wesson revolver were stolen from a bedroom.

Tuesday, Sept. 1

City of Clayton

Report 15-1645: Unknown subjects siphoned four gallons of gas from a vehicle parked in the 7800 block of N. Main St.

Thursday, Sept. 3

Clay Township

Report 15-2163-09: Police responded to W. National and Number Nine roads on single vehicle rollover crash. Police detected an odor of alcohol on the driver’s breath. He transported to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment by Brookville Medic 76. Richard Weller, Jr., 57, of Verona, was charged with failure to maintain reasonable control. Other charges may be added following the results of a blood test to determine Weller’s level of intoxication.

Saturday, Sept. 5

City of Clayton

Report 15-1686: Unknown subjects stole a decorative rock with a red American flag on it with an engraving the reads “God Bless the USA” from the front porch of a residence on Afton Drive. The victim stated there have also been issues with mail being stolen in the neighborhood.

Sunday, Sept. 6

City of Clayton

Report 15-1701: A counterfeit $20 bill was reported at Meadowbrook at Clayton golf course. A foursome of middle aged white males purchased drinks on the course and one of them paid with a $20 bill that was later discovered to be counterfeit.

Monday, Sept. 7

City of Clayton

Report 15-1710: Unknown subjects placed a pipe bomb in a mailbox in the 6100 block of Hoke Road. The resident went to retrieve his mail and found the inside of the mailbox covered in soot, contained pieces of charred plastic PVC with a hole in the right side of the mailbox. The mail was also charred.

Tuesday, Sept. 8

City of Englewood

Report 15-049126: A 15-year-old male was charged with being unruly. He was issued a court summons and released.

Wednesday, Sept. 9

City of Clayton

Report 15-1721: Denise L. Holbrook, 56, of Clayton, was charged with theft at Dollar General. She was issued a court summons and released. Holbrook was also trespassed from the store property and instructed never to return.

City of Englewood

Report 15-049210: Jeremy E. Meade, 36, was charged with control of dogs. He was issued a court summons.

Thursday, Sept. 10

City of Clayton

Report 15-1728: The theft of three televisions from a residence was reported in the 6200 block of Rangeview Dr.

Report 15-1729: Burglary to an apartment was reported at Wolf Creek Village apartments. Unknown subjects forced open a door and shattered a flat screen TV. No items appeared to have been stolen.

City of Englewood

Report 15-049308: Police responded to the Clarion Hotel on the report of a female using someone else’s credit card to try to rent a room. Stephanie D. Corbin, 36, of Medway, was charged with possessing drug abuse instruments (hypodermic needles), receiving stolen property, misuse of a credit card and was arrested on a warrant issued by Xenia for failure to appear on a charge of operating a vehicle intoxicated. Corbin was transported to the county jail.

Clay Township

Report 15-2228-09: During a traffic stop police discovered a passenger in a vehicle was a wanted subject. William D. Clarkson, 32, of Union City, was arrested on a warrant out of Darke County. He was taken into custody and transported to jail.

Saturday, Sept. 12

City of Englewood

Report 15-049637: Ravshan K. Osmanov, 46, of Dayton 45449, was charged with having physical control of a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was transported to the county jail.
