Police reports from Northmont area law enforcement agencies

The following information has been provided by Northmont area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Monday, June 20

City of Englewood

Report 16-034206: Richard D. Roby, 35, of Dayton 45414, was charged with telecommunications harassment. He was issued a court summons and released.

Report 16-034919: Police responded to Meijer on the report of a purse snatching that just occurred. While responding, dispatch advised that the suspect got into a maroon colored sedan with a temporary tag and busted out window. The vehicle was last observed heading south on Main Street from the parking lot. Sgt. Lang immediately radioed the suspect vehicle information to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch. An 84-year-old woman stated that as she was walking into the inner lobby of the Grocery entrance when a black female, with a scarf or wrap on her head, came up behind her and snatched her purse off her left shoulder. She attempted to run after the suspect, but stated she got into the maroon vehicle that was waiting on her. Following an investigation and tips from several anonymous callers that viewed the suspect’s photo on the Englewood Police Facebook page, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Timara L. Evans, 21, of Dayton 45405 who was charged with theft from elderly.

Report 16-034939: Andrea M. Gabbard, 26, of Greenville, was charged with theft at Wal-Mart. She was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 16-034955: Hannah L. Berry, 18, of Dayton 45420, was charged with theft at Wal-Mart. She was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 16-034962: Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart on the report of a theft. The suspect fled in a white SUV that fled east on Interstate 70. An officer was able to stop the vehicle near Exit 29. Quinton Jamal Johnson, 33, of Dayton 45405, was charged with theft and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Tuesday, June 21

City of Englewood

Report 16-035006: Joshua A. Ligier, 20, of Englewood, was charged with underage consumption of alcohol. He was issued a court summons and released.

Report 16-035134: Delight Johnson, 59, of Clayton 45415 and Vanea L. Johnson, 38, of Clayton 45415, were each charged with theft at Wal-Mart. Both were issued a court summons and released.

Report 16-035229: A 13-year-old female was charged with being unruly. Charges were forwarded to Montgomery County Juvenile Court.

City of Union

Report 16-035054: Police responded to Community Park on W. Martindale Road on the report of a subject found passed out in a port-o-john. Police found the subject walking in the 300 block and identified him. Brandon E. Brubaker, 31, of Springfield, was charged parole violation, taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Wednesday, June 22

City of Clayton

Report 16-1421: Unknown subjects shot and broke upstairs bedroom window with a BB gun at Wolf Creek Village apartments.

Clay Township

Report 16-1690-06: Ralph J. Singleton, 41, of Vandalia, was arrested by Vandalia Police on a warrant issued by Clay Township. Vandalia Police advised that they had contacted Western Division Court and that if Singleton was transported to court a magistrate would see him about his warrant. Singleton was released to a Clay Township officer, transported to court where he appeared before the magistrate and subsequently released.

Report 16-1697-06: Police responded to Shoreline Drive on the report of an overdose. Brookville Fire and EMS units were already on the scene. The officer spoke with a male who reported the overdose of a female subject. The male stated that the female had taken to $5 caps of heroin and became unresponsive. He stated that he thought that shouldn’t have happened because he felt the heroin was low grade stuff. The male admitted the female might have introduced Fentanyl into her system prior to using the heroin. The female was removed by medics and transported to the Good Samaritan North Emergency Room for treatment.

Thursday, June 23

City of Englewood

Report 16-035447: Tiffany L. Wilson, 18, of Englewood, was charged with theft at Speedway, terminated from her position, issued a court summons and released.

Report 16-035557: Sean P. Witham, 25, of Englewood, was charged with control of dogs following a dog bite. He was issued a court summons and 10-day quarantine for the dog.

City of Union

Report 16-035528: Police responded to Country Keeper storage facility on the report of two subjects living inside a storage unit. Matthew R. Polson, 33, of Pleasant Hill, was arrested on a warrant out of Miami County. Polson was taken into custody and released to a Miami County Sheriff’s deputy.

Friday, June 24

City of Clayton

Report 16-1424: Adam J. Keen, 29, of Clayton 45415, was charged with possession of drugs, possessing drug abuse instruments, driving under suspension, failure to reinstate and was arrested for two warrants, one issued by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the other by Dayton Police. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 16-1427: Police responded to United Dairy Farmers on the report of a disorderly subject. Ricky Joe Maddox, Jr., 29, of Clayton 45415, was arrested on a warrant out of Wayne County, Indiana. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

City of Englewood

Report 16-035662: Police responded to Cedargate Apartments on the report of an intoxicated subject sleeping on a porch. The male appeared stuck in a wicker patio chair that he had fallen into. The resident of the apartment discovered the male passed out on her front porch when she arrived home and was upset of the chair being damaged. Richard E. Sprinkle, 45, of Englewood, was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 16-035722: The theft of a mountain bike from a carport to the rear of a residence was reported in the 400 block of Heather St.

Saturday, June 25

City of Clayton

Report 16-1440: Shawn J. Watson, 43, of Dayton 45405, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for two counts of gross sexual imposition. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

City of Union

Report 16-035808: Police responded to Proctor and Gamble on a narcotics violation. An employee was caught smoking marijuana in a restroom. Juriah Orice Immanuel Bennett, 21, of Huber Heights, was charged with possession of marijuana. When asked why he was smoking marijuana at work he explained that he works 12 hour shifts and could not wait until he got home. He was issued a court summons and released.

Sunday, June 26

City of Englewood

Report 16-036162: Kyra L. Washington, 23, of Dayton 45405, was charged with theft at Meijer. She was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
