UNION CITY, Calif. – A multi-vehicle crash Friday night in Union City has prompted police to close roads in the area for several hours and urge the public to steer clear.

The accident took place around 9:55 p.m. at the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Whipple Road, according to officials.
