A 29-year-old man was killed early Wednesday morning after losing control of his vehicle and crashing into trees along the Garden State Parkway in Hazlet, according to officials.
The accident occurred at 5:08 a.m. in the northbound express lanes near milepost 117.8, State Police said.
Jonathan Harnish, a resident of Toms River, veered off the roadway to the left and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities confirmed.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
