ENGLEWOOD — Entertainment at the 42nd annual Englewood Art Festival promises to be another major attraction for the week-end event scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, August 8 and 9 at Centennial Park.
Saturday’s entertainment begins with vocalist Lauren Kelly singing a mixture of eras and genres for all ages.
“I do oldies, jazz, top 40, alternative, 80s and more,” Kelly said.
The Northmont High School Marching Band will perform in concert at noon followed by Jim McCutcheon, ‘The Guitar Man’ at 1:30 p.m. McCutcheon is one of those rare performers who can relate to audiences of any age. With a broad repertoire ranging from classical music from around the world to folk music of the USA, Jim adapts each performance to the venue. Concerts for grandparents and grandchildren are a specialty.
The Avalons (formerly SH-Boom of Ohio) will be the featured entertainment for Saturday evening beginning at 5 p.m. The group has shared the stage with dozens of legendary superstars including The Beach Boys, The Four Tops and The Temptations, and have appeared in events across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Through music, comedy, and crazy antics the audience will be swept away on a memorable journey through the 50s, 60s and early 70s. It is fun entertainment the entire family will enjoy.
Razzamatazz & Jazz will kick off Sunday’s entertainment beginning at 11 a.m. Lynn Fullerton, leader states that the group has over 18 years’ experience performing your favorite jazz music.

Following Razzamatazz and Jazz, Conductor Tim Elliot and the 40 member Englewood Civic Band will take the bandstand at 1 p.m. The group participates at various concerts around the area.
Closing the festival entertainment at 3 p.m. will be’ Systems Go,’ popular music combo from the United States Air Force Band of Flight. Stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base this group provides a top-notch high energy show the whole family will enjoy. Led by MSgt Tom Shriver, this versatile group has performed with many celebrities including Bob Hope, Stevie Wonder, Ricky Skaggs, and Lee Greenwood, and have performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Dollywood and major air shows throughout the country.
Bring lawn chairs to enjoy this great lineup of musical entertainment, all free to the public.
