BUTLER TWP. — People often think because they aren’t in the spotlight, they can’t make a difference. Living in a small town, they think they will never be afforded the opportunity to influence the larger culture in a positive way. Is there a cure for this perspective? Yes, there is!
Robert E. Cupp, president of the Vandalia School Board has attended the Global Leadership Summit in the past and says, “For every leader in the area or anyone that wants to aspire to a leadership role, this conference is a must! The quality of the speakers, and their powerful communication, can be and is a life changing experience. If the audience can catch just one golden nugget during the two-day event, it will change, not only their lives, but their organizations as well.”
The Global Leadership Summit, which is organized by the Willowcreek Association (WCA), will be coming to the Dayton area on August 10 and 11. Founded in 1992, WCA has been building leaders around the world by providing inspirational leadership, intentional skill development and experiences to help leaders thrive. By training leaders in 90 countries, WCA is certainly making its mark. Over the course of 25 years, WCA has partnered with over 18,000 churches and other organizations to host the Global Leadership Summit, an event which has stimulated creativity and positive change in individual lives, churches, businesses, government, schools and homes worldwide.
This year, on Thursday and Friday, August 10 and 11, WCA will host the annual Global Leadership Summit, a two-day event, telecast LIVE from Willowcreek’s Chicago-area campus to more than 550 locations across North America. The Summit is open to the public, and it is meant to gather individuals, businesses and churches in our community, who desire to build character, devotion and skill within their leadership cores.
For many leaders, the annual Summit serves as a catalyst for substantial growth throughout their entire organization. Christian Life Center (CLC) of Dayton, 3489 Little York Rd., will be hosting a live stream of this event. Continuing education credits will be available for those seeking to fulfill such requirements in their organizations.
The Summit will feature guest speakers such as Sheryl Sandberg (Facebook chief operating officer), Marcus Lemonis (Star of CNBC’s, The Profit; CEO of Camping World), Laszlo Bock (Senior Advisor at Google) and Gary Haugen (Founder & CEO, International Justice Mission). This diverse group delivers a unique blend of vision, inspiration and practical skills you can immediately apply.
CLC has partnered with area restaurants like El Meson, Bella Sorella Pizza and Rib-n-It, who will be providing food trucks, so guests may conveniently purchase lunch on site. Those desiring to attend may resister for this event on the WCA website: www.willowcreek.com/events/leadership
