ENGLEWOOD — The city of Englewood is in the process of repaving several residential streets as part of its annual street maintenance program.

In July 2016 a total of 25 residential streets were repaved at a cost of $400,000. This year, in addition to residential street repaving, a contract with the Ohio Department of Transportation will provide for the repaving of State Route 48 (Main Street).

Main Street from Union-Phillipsburg Road 3.6 miles south to I-70 is being repaved with $1.8 million in aid from the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Ohio Public Works Commission. Englewood, Union and Clayton cooperated on a grant application, which will pay the required local share of this project.
