Kaylyn Temple, GPA 4.0 – Activities/accomplishments: Danced for 16 years, at three different studios, and also taught classes, became a licensed Zumba instructor, Peer tutored, Spanish club, BOB, National Honor Society, and raised money for various charities including Agua es Vida and also newly arrived immigrants to the U.S. She is the daughter of Joyce and Gregg Temple. She will attend Ohio University for double major Spanish and communications and also Hocking University for associate’s degree in Ecotourism and Adventure Travel.

Emma Bernardi, GPA: 4.0 – Key Activities/Accomplishments: Playing golf at Northmont for 2 years, and being a valedictorian. Mom’s name: Tina Bernardi. College: The Ohio State University. Intended Major: I’m going in as undecided, but I hope to study medicine at OSU.

Christopher Chae, 4.0 GPA – Son of Jimmy and Jin Chae. Will attend Ohio State University, Mechanical Engineering.

Andrew Schweitzer, 4.0 GPA. – I am a student athletic trainer for football, girl’s basketball, wrestling, and softball. Also, I am a peer facilitator and I hold a 3rd degree black belt in karate. My parents are Kevin Schweitzer and Jennifer Schweitzer. I will be attending the University of Central Florida for Athletic Training. I hope to return to Northmont to work as an Athletic Trainer.

Akilah Parker, 4.0 GPA – I played varsity tennis. In honor society each year. Lettered in tennis & track. 1st Team All Area All Conference all 4 years, Player of Year 3 years in tennis. Track: GWOC 2nd team in 4×200, Attending CAU in fall & receiving Dean academic excellence & scholarships & accepted in Honors program. President’s Award for Academic Excellence. Parents: Kim Parker and Mark Parker. I’ll be attending Clark Atlanta University. I will be playing tennis for them and I plan on majoring in psychology and minoring in sociology. After I obtain my undergraduate degree, I will pursue a law degree.

Rachael Leiter, GPA: 4.0 – Activities: Cheerleading, track, DECA, link crew. Accomplishments: 1st team all conference in cheerleading, national qualifier in DECA, 2nd attendant in the Tipp City Mum Pageant. Parents’ names: Ann and Mark Leiter. College: The Ohio State University. Major: Business.

Aubri Pritchett, 4.22 weighted GPA – Played varsity soccer, play viola in the Dayton Philharmoic Youth Orchestra and in Northmont’s Chamber Orchestra, secretary of Student Government. Julius Pritchett (father), Michelle Pritchett (mother). Going to Wright State for pre-med (will major in Biology and Spanish).

Emily Hamant, 4.0 GPA if unweighted – I participated in Science Olympiad, Environthon, Environmental Club, and Marching Band. Cheryl and Eric Hamant. I intend to study Wildlife Biology at the University of Montana

Welton Lai, GPA: 4.0 – Key Activities: Northmont Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Chinese Club. Parents’ Names: Jeh and Diana Lai. Intended College: The Ohio State University. Intended Major: Civil Engineering.

Clara Lenore Leedy, GPA is 4.281 – My parents are Tom and Lisa Leedy. Throughout high school I have been a four year varsity athlete in both Cross Country and Track, I have participated on the Academic Challenge team for two years, I have served in the Interact Community Service club, and I have served on missions trips through my church. I will be attending Wright State University in the fall with a major in Chemistry and a double minor in Criminology and Chinese.

Salutatorian: Nicholas Hoskins, GPA 3.997 – I play the piano for our church and attended our bible study at school called Faithwalk. My parents are Todd and Jill Hoskins. I intend on either going to Wright State or Sinclair. My major is undecided, but I plan on pursuing the ministry.

Maggie Laing, 4.0 GPA – Daughter to James Laing and Dawn Eckhardt. I participated in golf, dash of the pen, and Spanish club in high school. This fall I will be attending Miami University and plan to double major in zoology and ESL.

Sydney Danklef, GPA: 4.061 – Parents name: Robert and Tandi Danklef. College: Ohio State University. Major: Undecided. Plan to have a job working with children. Key activities and accomplishments: I have been in DECA two years. My junior year I wrote a 30 page paper with two partners on a Creative Marketing topic and won third place in the state and qualified for the national conference. My senior year I worked with two others to complete a 30 page paper on Financial Literacy and placed first in the state and qualified for nationals again.

Emily Kuehl, 4.0 GPA – I marched in the Northmont High School Marching Band for four years. I served as Section Leader for two years, and was elected Horn Sargeant my senior year. Also participated in Science Olympiad as a Captain, as well as Envirothon, Drama Club, and Link Crew. Next year, will attend Miami University for Chemical Engineering, and hopes to someday work in space exploration.

Naomi Baker, 4.0 GPA – Northmont DECA President, Ohio DECA Executive Vice President of Marketing, Varsity Track and Field, Varsity Basketball Cheerleader, Journalism. Parents: Mark and Tonya Baker. Will attend The Ohio State University, Fashion and Retail Studies.

Bethany Groves, GPA: 4.0 – Activities/accomplishments: I was a part of the colorguard and winterguard and have been doing it for 9 years now. I also volunteered with the middle school colorguard and coached there. I was highly involved with planning school dances and was co-chair of homecoming committee this year. Parents names: Paul and Dana Groves. College: Wright State University. Major: Political science.

Luke D. Knapke, GPA: 4.124 – Key Activities/Accomplishments: 3 years varsity golf, All-Academic Ohio, envirothon, peer facilitation, religious education teacher, and November Rotary Club Athlete of the Month (golf). Parents: Dan and Susan Knapke. College: University of Dayton. Intended Major: Mechanical Engineering.

Andrew Correll, 4.0 GPA – I am a valedictorian at Northmont. I have been part of student government, the Interact Club, and other school groups during my four years. I played first singles in tennis and qualified for districts. My parents’ names are Terry and Marluta Correll. I plan on attending Wright State University and doing pre-med studies in the hopes of one day becoming a psychiatrist.

Frida S. Calderon Gutierrez, GPA: 4.0 – Parents Names: Roberto A. Calderon Guzman and Susana Gutierrez Morales. College: Yale University. Major: Undecided – I plan to follow a Pre-Medical path, but I am not decided on a major yet. I am, however, considering Global Health. Accomplishments / Activities: President of the Northmont High School LEO club; 1st chair Oboist in the NHS Wind Ensemble; Participant of the 2015 Wright State University Horizons in Medicine program with academic achievement and individual project distinctions.

Alexandria Pompeii – I was part of the Northmont volleyball team and art club. Attended MVCTC for Aviation Maintenance where I placed first in the nation of SkillsUSA Aviation Maintenance, was the Chapter 2 SkillsUSA Vice President, a student ambassador, and an NTHS Inductee. Upon finishing my Airframe and Powerplant license this summer I will have an associates degree in Aviation Applied Sciences from Eastern New Mexico State University-Roswell. I will be attending California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) for Aerospace Engineering this Fall.

Bitania Admasu – I have been a part of spanish club, marching band, SADD, Honor Society, and Spanish Honor Society during my four years in high school. Also, I am going to attend Ohio State University in the fall for biomedical engineering.

John Bates – I was the President of Student Government for 3 years, an Aspirations Student Advisor for 2 years, a Yearbook Editor for 2 years, as well as an avid member of Best of the Bolts Committee and a Varsity Volleyball Player for 3 years. I received the President’s Volunteer Service Award for my participation in the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership program (HOBY), as well as the AP Scholar Award for my achievement on AP Tests. I plan to go to The Ohio State University to major in Neuroscience, and hope to one day become a professor of Neuroscience and continue volunteering for HOBY.

Dylana Harris, 4.0 GPA (4.129 QPA) – Activities: Marching band for four years and section leader of clarinet section for two, Wind Ensemble for four years, drama club for three years, link crew, aspirations. Parents: Scott and Debbie Harris. College: I plan on attending Wright State University and majoring in Spanish.

Ashley Trottier, 4.0 GPA – My parents are Gilles and Teri Trottier. I played varsity soccer for 4 years, softball for 2 years, and I was also a wrestling manager for 2 years. I received 2nd team all GWOC sophomore and senior year both in softball and soccer. I am attending The University of Toledo next fall and I will be majoring in exercise science.

Brendon Jenkins, 4.0 GPA – While in high school I have been a member of the marching band, academic challenge team, and played baseball. My mom’s name is Tina Jenkins and my dad’s name is John Jenkins. I will be attending the University of Toledo this fall to study mechanical engineering.

Shawn Richards, 4.0 GPA 4.2 QPA – Attending The Ohio State University to study Mechanical Engineering. Golf, Track, Deca. Mother is Susan Richards. Father is Jeff Richards.

Courtney Eilerman – My parents are David and Tiffany Eilerman and I have a brother named Matthew. While in high school I have been involved in swim and soccer. I will be attending Wright State University to major in Biological Sciences, and I will attend grad school to get a degree in Physical Therapy.
