Staff Report

DAYTON — Prosecuting Attorney Mat Heck, Jr. announced Tuesday that Andrew Nason, 30, of Englewood, has been indicted for causing injuries to his girlfriend’s two-year-old daughter.

On September 11, 2012, the two‐year‐old victim was transported by ambulance to Dayton Children’s Hospital with significant head trauma. Nason had been babysitting the child at the time of the incident while the child’s mother was at work.

Tuesday, the defendant was indicted on:

• One count of Felonious Assault

• Two counts of Child Endangering

A warrant has been issued for Nason’s arrest. He is scheduled to be arraigned on January 5, 2016 at 8:30 a.m.

“This is another case of a precious toddler being abused at the hands of the caregiver. As a community, we all have a duty to protect children and must have the courage to report child abuse,” said Prosecutor Heck.
