UNION — Santa Claus attended the City of Union’s annual tree lighting ceremony Sunday evening at the Union Fire Station.

Santa arrived on a city fire engine and then went into the fire station to visit with and pose for photos with local children.

City Manager John Applegate performed his annual chore of making hot chocolate for kids and their families. Cookies were provided by the Union Park Board.

Hundreds packed the fire station with parents taking photos of their youngsters as they visited with Santa to tell him what they wanted for Christmas.
