NHS Golf Teams looking for Golfers

CLAYTON — The Northmont Girls and Boys golf teams are looking for interested NHS students to play on the 2017-18 golf teams.

A junior membership is required to participate as well as a current physical. Northmont’s home course is Meadowbrook at Clayton. Each team has a Varsity and Junior Varsity team. Practices are under way at Meadowbrook. Students of Northmont High School who are entering grade 8-12 are eligible.

Wee Bolts Color Guard holding registration

UNION — he Northmont Wee Bolts Color Guard will be holding clinics and registration (for students who will be in 1st through 5th grades in fall 2017) on Tuesday, June 20 and Thursday, June 22 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Union Community Park, 3280 Phillipsburg-Union Road, Union. The last day to register will be Thursday June 22.

Northmont Boys Basketball Camp is June 19-22

CLAYTON — The Northmont Boys Basketball program, coming off its GWOC League Championship and Sectional championship this past season, is proud to announce that the Northmont Boys Basketball Camp will be held June 19-22 at Northmont High School for anyone entering grades 2nd-10th.

The camp, under the direction of Head Coach Collin Abels, will be split into two sessions. The Future Bolts Session, for grades 2nd-6th, will run from 9 a.m. until noon. The Middle/High School Session, for grades 7th-10th, will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. The camp will feature basketball fundamentals/skills, individual competitions, and team play.

Camp instructors include current coaches, current/former players, and professional basketball player and alum, Kenny Hayes. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt, and there will be opportunities to earn prizes for individual and team accomplishments.

Cost for the camp is $50 if registered before June 14, and $65 for anyone who registers after June 15. Walk-up registrations will be accepted. Northmont Football Camp set for July

CLAYTON — Northmont High School Football Coach Tony Broering and his staff will be holding their annual Pee Wee Camp and High School Camp this July at the high school stadium.

The Thunderbolt football camp provides instruction at all offensive and defensive positions. The Northmont High School football staff will be hands on teaching the basic fundamentals and emphasizing individual techniques in order for all campers to improve their overall football skills.

Wee Bolt Camp (Grades 2nd thru 6th): July 17-19 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Junior High / High School Camp: July 24-27 from 6 to 8 p.m.

What To Wear / Bring: Athletic Shorts & T-Shirt, Football Cleats & Gym Shoes.

Football officiating class scheduled

HUBER HEIGHTS — Are you interested in officiating football? The Ohio High School Athletic Association needs football officials. The cost of the class is $105 plus the cost of a uniform. After completing the course, officials will be a Class 2 official eligible to officiate youth, junior high, freshman, and junior varsity games.
