Boys bowling team qualifies for district

KETTERING — The Northmont Boys Varsity Bowling Team finished their regular season with a 9-2 record, which placed them in first place in the Greater Western Ohio Conference West Division.

During the sectional tournament on February 23, Northmont placed 5th to qualify for the district tournament on March 1 at Beaver Vu.

At the sectional, held at Poelking Woodman Lanes, the Thunderbolts compiled a team score of 2838. Steven Kocher led Northmont with a three game total of 653. Johnathan King and Tyler Blackwell rolled games of 546. Tyler Gleadell rolled a two game total of 386 and Wyatt Meyers rolled a two game total of 368.

If the Thunderbolts perform well at district the team would qualify there for the state finals in Columbus on March 11.
