ENGLEWOOD — The Northmont boys bowling teams celebrated Senior Night on Wednesday, February 15 at Thunderbowl Lanes prior to their GWOC match with Miamisburg.

Each senior was escorted by their parents to the lanes and introduced to spectators. Varsity seniors honored were Tyler Blackwell, escorted by Melissa and Jay Blackwell; Johnathan King, escorted by Lori and Jeff King; Steve Kocher, escorted by Diana and Randy Kocher; and Wyatt Meyers, escorted by Tara and Scott Meyers. JV seniors honored were Trevor Anderson, escorted by mother Tammy Berry and sister Tori Anderson and Tyler Dock, escorted by Michelle and Mike Dock. After the match parents and players enjoyed a reception in their honor.

Northmont won the match with 2,559 pins while Miamisburg had 2,464. Wyatt Meyers led the Thunderbolts with games of 237 and 235 for a 472 series. Steve Kocher rolled a 233 and 215 for 448 series. Jonathan King had scores of 226 and 209 for a 435 series and Tyler Blackwell rolled games of 168 and 237 for a 405 series. Bradlee Fritz rolled a game of 191 and a sub bowler scored 173. In Baker Games Northmont scored 243 and 192.

Miamisburg’s top four included Sam Fisher (472), Tim Fisher (423), Casey Jackson (417) and Logan Born (381). Matt Barton rolled a game of 181 and substitute racked up a 169. The Vikings scored 242 and 179 in Baker Games.

With the victory the Thunderbolts secured first place with a 9-2 record while Miamisburg finished the regular season in 2nd place in the National West with a 7-4 mark.
