Boys soccer team beats Butler

VANDALIA — Northmont’s boys varsity soccer team posted its third victory out if last four matches with a 4-0 victory Saturday over Butler.

The Bolts scored all four of their goals in the first half.

Noah Teague, Kellen O’Shea, Tanner Juskae, and Kyle Knerr each scored a goal in the victory.

On Sept. 13 the Thunderbolts posted a 7-0 victory over Springfield. Brandon Morton led the team with three goals while Matt Eilerman, Noah Birdsall, Justin Menker and Nate Sheets added one goal apiece. Northmont built a 3-0 halftime lead and ran away with the match with four second half goals.

Morton also led Northmont with two goals in a 5-1 win over Tecumseh on Sept. 10. Kneer, O’Shea, and Haakon Kvamme each netted one goal in the victory. The Thunderbolts took a 3-1 lead at halftime and added two more goals in the second half.

The only loss in the four match stretch was a 6-0 defeat at Beavercreek on Sept. 20. The Beavers were led by Dominic Calabrese with two goals while Ryan Bernt, Nick Togliatti, Caleb Austin, and Sam Pearl each had one goal.
