Troy Post 43 to hold baseball tryouts

TROY — Troy Post 43 Baseball and its younger teams are holding tryouts for players 15 to 18 years of age for the 2017 season.

The tryouts will be held at the Duke Park “Legion Field” on the following dates:

Monday, July 25 at 5 p.m. & Sunday, July 31 at 1 p.m.

Saturday, August 6 at 1 p.m. & Sunday, August 7 at 1 p.m.

Sunday, August 24 at 1 p.m. & Monday, August 25 at 5 p.m.

Troy Post 43 Baseball is one of Ohio’s most respected baseball programs and participated in both American Legion Baseball and the National Amateur Baseball Federation. The team travels to some of the best tournaments in the country.

Over 400 former players have advanced to play college baseball with44 having signed pro contracts and two became major leaguers. Nine former players are currently coaching in college. The team is coached by Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Famer, Frosty Brown who has coached Troy Post 43 Baseball for 44 years. In 2017, Troy Post 43 Baseball will celebrate its 50th Anniversary of helping aspiring baseball players pursue their dreams.
