The Northmont F.I.S.H. Food Pantry and Clothes Closet has been open to the Northmont District helping residents with food and clothing for over 40 years.
With the help of Concord United Methodist Church we were able to work out of the church facility. We are now in a new home on Smith Drive where we hope to be for another 40 years. The volunteers have been working to make this venture a success. As of this day we have two volunteers that have worked 25 years. What dedication to the organization and the residents.
We have so much to be proud of.
We are working with Community Table to help the Northmont families with school supplies. The Clothes Closet is open to families to help with clothing and other items. Our Sponsors have donated numerous amounts of clothing and shoes: the closet is full. The residents can visit the Clothes Closet on Thursdays. They are allowed to get free clothing for their family one time per month.
Sponsors for the Northmont Food Pantry consist of churches, Scouting groups, Postal Groups, schools, civic groups and individuals. Sponsors supply food, clothing, gifts and monetary donations. We could not work in the community if we did not have the support of the sponsors who are willing to give so graciously.
I looked at the calendar and it is only 145 days until Christmas. It is time to start thinking of how you can help the families for this joyous holiday. We work with the Salem Church of God to enable families to go to the Christmas Store and get gifts for the children.
There are many ways you can help. We accept food, clothing, gifts and monetary donations. Monetary donations can be mailed to Northmont F.I.S.H. P.O. Box 102 Englewood, Ohio 45322 Food and clothing can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 265 Smith Drive, Englewood. All donations are tax deductible and welcomed. In His service.
