ENGLEWOOD — Randolph Township Historical Society (RTHS) will hold a special program from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, July 18 at the RTHS History Center, 114 Valleyview Drive in Englewood.
Scott Trostel, local historian from Miami County will present, “The History of the D.C. & P. Traction Company.” This is the interurban line, which operated from 1902 to 1926, that ran from the City of Dayton through Englewood, Union, West Milton, and Covington before heading east to Piqua. Trostel also will sell and sign copies of his latest book about the D.C.&P. titled, Traction Along the Stillwater.
Light refreshments will be provided after the program. The event is free and open to the public but donations to the historical society will be gratefully accepted to help defray costs. Parking is available in front of the History Center and in lots across the street.
