CLAYTON — Southern gospel music will be featured on Sunday, Aug. 21 at Salem Church of God when the Clayton church hosts a free concert that will benefit One Heart Dayton and the Ohio Gospel Music Association.

The event, which will be hosted by the Salem Trailblazers, begins at 6 p.m. and will include performances by the Salem Quartet and the Homelighters Quartet, southern gospel groups from the Dayton and Central Ohio areas.

Donations will be accepted, and all proceeds will benefit One Heart Dayton’s ministry to women in the adult entertainment industry as well as the Ohio Gospel Music Association’s efforts to advance gospel music across the Buckeye State.

The Salem Quartet – comprised of Dayton-area residents Dan and Dyan Garner, Dave Mittlesteadt and Herb Peer – got its start two years ago and is eager to build its ministry.
