ENGLEWOOD — Recently, the Northmont Rotary learned about the Dayton Dragons and the history of their growth.

Tom Nichols, Dragons broadcaster and Director of Media Relations, reviewed the family focus of the entertainment as well as the tremendous support of the community.

On July 9, 2011, the Dragons set the new record of the most consecutive sold out games (815 total) in all of professional sports. As of the end of the 2015 season, the still-in-progress record stands at 1,121 straight games.

In addition, 67 of the former Dragons players have moved up to play Major League Baseball.
